Madden 2005 -- funny stuff...

I decided to start a franchise in Madden with the Chiefs and instead of playing the games for the first (2004) season, I would sim them to mimic what has happened in real life.

Right now, I'm starting week 4 at 0-3 and here's a couple of gems.

Chris Bober and Jason Dunn are demanding playing time or a trade.

But these are the funniest:

I checked my Advisors screen and amongst other things, they're saying "The sports radio shows are ripping the team new one" and "We've got cap room. Now's not the time to be frugal."

A freaking video game is smart enough to figure it out, but the braintrust at 1 Arrowhead Drive isn't?

Yea im doing my franchise right now, and i just lost my starting Free Safety Shaunard Harts for 8 weeks with a torn shoulder, ...

And he was doing pretty damn good too, he was always in the backfield making tackles and stuff and it really hurt losing him ...

Now im forced to start Willie Pile in his place.

Why not the best of both worlds? That's what Dre Ward is.

I have found there is a difference. Depending on how far I want to throw it. It's usually just something you have to feel. You don't always have alot of room to step up.

I can't wait for Green to retire so I get my 99 THP guy in there and start launching some REAL bombs to my 98 and 96 spd guys.

oh and htis, I love these new sliders. One game I won 42-20, but my next game I lost 20-7. Feels very realistic.

Way to go, choke artist. Time to practice your FG kicking.

Well, I'm done with this franchise.

I got 4 games into my season this afternoon. Of course, I played the games straight through without saving...

With 1:33 left in the 4th game, I got a dirty disc error.

I'm so pissed right now, I may just sell the game.

Another reason to buy the PC version. I regularly backup my franchise.

If I was thinking, I would have enabled auto-save and then I'd only be out one game...
