What's the strangest food you've eaten?

All the hamburger threads got me thinking about the strangest things I've eaten.

I've had possum, raccoon, escargot, rattle snake, alligator... I had some very fresh shrimp the other day and really wanted to try sucking the heads, but just couldn't do it. Will have to try again sometime.

I think I've told this story before, but when I went to Korea I had almost no notice and had no idea how to speak the language. So I learned to pronounce the words when I read them and that was it.

I had a room but no way to cook food, and I was in a neighborhood where I was the only non-Korean. So I would go into a restaurant, order something completely randomly by reading a line on the menu, and then I'd write down what it was so I'd know in the future.

You get some very unusual stuff that way. I remember getting some kind of soup once that had all sorts of stuff with tentacles and things floating in it.

When I was a kid we always went into my friend's pasture to play with fireworks. Since we were kids, our funds were pretty limited so I bought some cheap firecrackers (I think the brad was TNT). Anway, we liked to stick the firecrackers into cow poop and watch the go plop. So, I stuck a firecracker into a particularly fresh and juicy patty. I went to light the fuse but it fizzled out about halfway down. I bent over to re light the half fuse and as soon as it caught the fuse instantly burned down to nothing and it went KUHBLAMMO! My face was completely covered in poop. It was in my eyes, nose, and mouth...everywhere. It was both gross and embarrassing. My friend laughed so hard that he cried.

its the greens. you have to pick em young. less than 4-5 inches. Its way to late, early spring is the time to pick em.
Cook em just like spinach or other greens. pretty decent.
