****Official PC vs Console thread****

Well, with the way some threads get going in here, and not wanting to poop in other peoples threads, I figured this is a good way to pass some time.

I wouldn't be mad if a mod went through the last PC V Console posts in the next gen thread and moved them over

I'll start -

I would like to point out the above image that currently the revenue for consoles is currently higher. This is because console games, on average, are nearly twice the price of PC titles.

DISCUSS

edit: I would like to bring conversation in other threads to this thread as they appear, to avoid hijacking legit console or other media threads~

Is this some kind of flash thing that should be making a direct A/B comparison? Because i just see a series of different scenes..some from the PC and some from a console.

You are seeing 'similar' scene comparisons. Waterfall vs. waterfall. Building vs. building. Etc. Not identical screen captures for each medium. Which is the better comparison.

Graphics, mods, etc aside, I prefer PC gaming as I can get much more immersed. That's very important to me. I want to be IN that environment. I can't get that from my couch and a controller.

I converted my 17 year old nephew to the PC master race. He games on my PC when he comes over now. Fell in love with it. I asked him since iw as going to buy him a PS4 this summer. do you want a PS4 or a gaming PC. Said Gaming PC wthout even thinking about it.

I felt proud! lol I need to build him something decent this summer.

Can't wait for GTA 5 to release for PC. The textures are sooooo superior to that of the PS3.

Precisely the game I built my new rig for. Which will last me for a lot of years, at a total cost of $850. Trick is to not skimp on the video card. Games are not taxing current CPU's these days. An i7 is good for a loooong time.

Optimization issues and living room play ruin it for most

Have a list of your build? That's right about the amount I'm looking to spend.

PS4 controller works fine on PC wirelessly, as long as you have the right Bluetooth.
Well gee, aren't you nice. I want to play the console games. Simple as that. I like them better than what I can get on PC. I don't need a new PC anyway. though I do need a laptop.

But thanks for telling me my head is up my ass for having my own opinion.

Contrary to what pc supporters believe, you really can't play pc games, especially fps in the living room.

It's impossible to play fps with a controller on a pc with no aim assist.

I've played FPS on a PC with a controller. You don't have to have aim assist to play. HL2 played great with it. Now, some games are not designed to accept a contoller without third party software. Thats a different story.
