-- Discuss places who offer a nice Country Fried Steak dinner w/ gravy

Please list some places who offer a nice Country Fried Steak dinner w/ gravy.

I remember that Folks had a fair one. Maybe Betty's Fried Chicken. Oh also that old restaurant at the Carthage Airport - my Grandmother worked there as a hostess. [RIP Grammy Lee. We'll do 'Tickle Hill' again in your Caprice Classic in Heaven together]

but anyway - also, would you plow the one plated below?

I'll go to Strouds and eat more green beans than anything else they sell, and I like EVERYTHING they sell.

Yeah - my parents went about six mos ago - My Stpfather had indicated the sides were superior - but the chicken was overrated and somewhat dry.

JJ's in Columbia on the loop has a good one. The breakfast CFS Pileup is amazing, but about 1000 calories and lots of cholesterol lol

The trouble w/ Atlanta's restaurant scene is: & I've mentioned it on here before; we don't have the mom and pops, FAMILY/PRIVATELY owned restaurants here - it's chains/fast food or fine-dining - nothing in between.

I miss a good sit down breakfast place. Athens Georgia has a few - but the closest thing you'll find to that in Atlanta is the Landmark Diner. and it's pretty decent. But lots of drunks and I always thought it looked sort of dirty on the inside. so ... but they get kudos for their breakfast all over town.

Actually I just said that to be funny. I'm certainly not above any food - except maybe BK. & frankly I DO remember hearing that sorghum mentioned in passing - I guess I never baked anything calling for it, over the years.

It's fine - I was just trying to be funny.

A lot of those are neither fine dining or chains.

Not a chain. Not fine dining.

Quit complaining, go eat here, and come back with a FULL review.

I'm surprised there are no decent mom and pops near you, being in the South and all. Of course, ATL is more hipster, so maybe it doesn't play there.

My sister is driving from Buckner to Shawnee on Saturday for her favorite Eggs Benedict in the city. That's 50 minutes each way. She's crazy. Heh.
