24 discussion thread (spoilers, obviously)
24 is back tonight at 7:00 CST. Anybody watch this?

I got into it at the start of last season. I don't really watch any TV except sports, but it hooked me. Tune in if you have nothing better to do... it roxxors.

I'm hoping Mandy the Terror Tart shows up again this season. Butt nekkid, of course.

The hand-scar, Mandy had put some kind of sticky 'shoe goo' on her hand, to protect herself, then applied a layer of virus-goo over that. She shook Palmer's hand, he got sick from the virus. She used a handy-wipe to clean up, collected her fee and ran off to get butt nekkid on a beach somewhere. She may be on the wrong team, but she's got skills...she knows when to cut her losses, and she's willing to take a dive. I'm thinking Jack could make her talk and get high ratings for the show, but he'd be well advised to practice double- bag safe sex. I hate to think of the various virus goo that gal might have secreted here and there.

How many people have faked their deaths in 24?

Palmer's death could have been faked. They scar up a corpse like his scar. Conviently leave the hand out from under the cover to show its really him.

There is no way in real life that a corpse's hand would be out from under the cover like that. The show prides itself on trying to be realistic.

Yep, we could see Palmer again later even if he is starting a new show.

We won't see Palmer again. Jacks fake death only lasted a certain time, this has gone way past that and no one's revived him. Sadly, he's gone.

As for the realistic part, that is nitpicky. The part I thought was unrealistic was that michelle's body was intact and actually lifelike, not torn to pieces or burned extremly bad.

Of course, the show hasn't ever really been THAT obsessed about realism.

Well, as long as we're on topic, I thought it extremely unlikely that after Michelle's car exploded there would be a secondary explosion large enough to injure Tony so seriously. Seems he might have been more likely to sustain some non-life threatening burns.

There were a few moments last season that tested my suspension of disbelief, particularly when the missle was shot out of the air, but they are few and far between from what I have seen of the series.

No, when Jack and his lady friend were hiding behind that tool box or something and a bunch of dudes with machine guns lost to him and he had no weapon. That was a tough pill to swallow.
