Wesley's on the block?

Chiefs | Could have two new starting safeties
Sun, 1 Apr 2007 14:37:46 -0700

Adam Teicher, of the Kansas City Star, reporting for the Sporting News, reports with FS Greg Wesley on the trade block, the Kansas City Chiefs could have two new starting safeties in 2007. SS Jarrad Page and SS Bernard Pollard, both who were rookies last year, could end up starters, with Page starting at free safety.

Trade Green, Wesley, and our 3rd round pick to Detroit for Shaun Rogers and a fifth. Hell the last DT we got from Detroit panned out well.

I've said it a million times, G-Wes, along with Sims and Hicks, has to go. Maybe King Carl and Co. finally have figured out that Wesley has ALWAYS been part of the problem and is never going to be part of the solution -- a defensive unit talented enough to make a playoff run.

If Gwes leaves-who is going to be the guy out of position to cover the WR when Ty Law falls down?

Welcome to the club. I think most of us around here have been saying the same things for about 3 years now. For every good play Wesley makes, he makes about 5 or 6 boneheaded ones.

He told me a couple weeks ago that he wouldn't be here this year that they were trading him but it was a much better deal for him. I said I hope that it isn't to a team that we have to play every year cause I don't want him getting 3 ints against us all the time and he said no you don't have to worry about that cause I'm going to a team that is really good and in the NFC. He then said that I would be seeing him though this year. So I said well that gives it away either Minnesota or the Bears and he said damn X you are good but wouldn't tell me which one. He told me that it was pretty much done they were just working out the final details and it would be done within a couple weeks. That was 2 weeks ago this coming Sunday so we should be hearing it shortly. I told him that it had been a pleaser working with him with various charities and he told me that he was going to miss me and all Chiefs fans. He said we are by far the best in the league and that the work that i do for the community symbolizes exactly what it means to being the best fans in the world period.
