If Kila could actually develop into a hitter then Hosmer could end up in the OF, hes actually capable defensively.

That said, they did coddle the **** out of him too, even when he 'quit'...but sometimes shit like this needs to be public but i bet his teammates even if they suck dont appreciate it.

Yeah, except for the part where some people would've told Zack to take a hike when he quit and let him rot into "never was" oblivion... this organization has done nothing for him.

he is what he is. I might wonder about it with other players, but this isn't Zack finally getting annoyed enough to tactlessly gripe.

There are two things that have always been true about him. 1) he hates interviews and will try to avoid them. 2) When he does decide to talk to the press, he has no filter. You ask him a question, you don't get a cliche, you get the honest truth out of him whether you are ready to hear it or not.

I dont think he's sending a message. He decided to talk to a reporter, the reporter asked a question, he answered it.
