*****IF***** Winston signs in KC.
You've got three options.
(a.) Do everything you can to turn your first-rounder this year into a first-rounder in 2013. Next year's QB crop is strong, and the Chiefs could use maximum flexibility to move around if they see a guy they want. (b.) Draft DeCastro, and create the best OL in the NFL. Albert DeCastro Hudson Asamoah Winston (c.) Assuming you can't trade down, ignore the shitty value at guard and push for a third passrusher like Nick Perry. The Chiefs can't expect Houston and Hali to remain healthy for all future seasons. They need a no-drop-off backup to come in and keep them in playoff or Super Bowl contention. Drafting Perry allows him to suck for a year behind Hali/Houston while we develop him. You can never have too many passrushers. Check out how stacked this sub-package is: Last edited by Direckshun; 03-16-2012 at 10:48 AM.. |

Get tired of people using the "next years QB class is stronger" excuse every year.

There were four QB largely considered first round guys.
Luck, RG3, Landry Jones, and Barkley. Jones and Barkley are back in the water. It immediately makes next year's QB class stronger. There will be at least two QB worthy of top five picks, and possibly more. Add to that this reality: This year's teams that needed a QB: Colts, Chiefs, Browns, Dolphins, Seahawks, Redskins. This year's answers to those needs: Colts: Luck Chiefs: nothing Browns: Flynn/Tannehill Dolphins: Flynn/Tannehill Seahawks: nothing Redskins: RG3 That means that next year, it will be the Chiefs and the Seahawks with the obvious needs at quarterback, a need SO obvious we will take one in the first round. Two teams with need vs. 3 or more top QB prospects? I'll take that over four teams fighting for 2 guys. Oh, and if Tennessee gets Manning, that might shift Locker out. And I think a trade back to Washington State makes a LOT of sense... |

It's a process. A forty year process but a process none the less.

Tannehill isn't going to be there at #11. Whomever between Cleveland, Seattle or Miami will select him first.
