*****IF***** Winston signs in KC.

You've got three options.

(a.) Do everything you can to turn your first-rounder this year into a first-rounder in 2013.

Next year's QB crop is strong, and the Chiefs could use maximum flexibility to move around if they see a guy they want.

(b.) Draft DeCastro, and create the best OL in the NFL.

Albert
DeCastro
Hudson
Asamoah
Winston

(c.) Assuming you can't trade down, ignore the shitty value at guard and push for a third passrusher like Nick Perry. The Chiefs can't expect Houston and Hali to remain healthy for all future seasons. They need a no-drop-off backup to come in and keep them in playoff or Super Bowl contention.

Drafting Perry allows him to suck for a year behind Hali/Houston while we develop him. You can never have too many passrushers. Check out how stacked this sub-package is:

I honestly thought the same thing. Give Winston a good contract to get him in and try to turn this years first into a first for next year. At the very least it gives you 2 firsts next year. That gives us a lot of trade up leverage.

If Tannehill falls, grab him. Otherwise, set yourself up to move away from Cassel next year.

I will keep beating this drum up until we use that first round pick this year. I want to use it to get an extra 1st next year so we have the ability to move up for our QBOTF next year instead of settling for Tannehill or Foles this year.

I heard Fescoe say this morning that he hopes we get Winston (which I agree with) so we can use our picks to surround Cassel with more talent.

It's a process. A forty year process but a process none the less.

Try to arrange for another first rounder next year...but ONLY if Manning empties Denver's bank account, because if not it'll be the same dang game next year.

Why would we give a **** about what Denver does with Manning? We need a franchise QB either way.

Would you trade the 11th pick overall this year for the 21st pick overall next year?

we really need Winston, it's another perfect scenario. One of the biggest weakest links on our team and suddenly one of the top players at that position becomes available. Lol, I'm not confident Pioli or Clark recognizes that.

You don't straight trade. You'd get their 2nd this year and their 1st next year or something similar. And yes, you do need to try and figure out where you think they'd fall next year but that's a crap shoot with most teams.

I know. I read that in the 15+ page thread dedicated to Winston.

I find it hilarious that a thread about a ****ing RT has over 1,400 replies.
