anybody ever been to cinemark's VIP room?

wife and i got tickets to pirates tomorrow night in the VIP lounge on the plaza... never been, thought it'd be fun.

anyone been there before?

I don't know, I'd be a little careful letting my wife work in the VIP room. You never know when some vice cop is going to get handsy.

It's a great way to watch a movie. Very comfy, and a minion to bring you snacks and alcohol.

been a couple of times,great way to see a movie especially the oversized leather recliners,if the movie sucks you can get a decent nap.

What's the cost? You get a big chair, food and drinks delivered. Sounds good. Anything else? Do you need to reserve this in advance? Or, is there plenty of availability?

i think there's a full bar/cafe in the vip area. i don't think reservations are required, but recommended. there is also assigned seating, so the earlier you get your tickets the better the seats, i think.

i called yesterday, 6 p.m. showing was already sold out.

I still think the best place to watch a movie is at home but that pricing isn't bad at all. It is nice to do the dinner and movie gig.

A couple extra bucks for a big comfy chair and some beers. Can't beat that with with a stick.

PS - If you see '28 Weeks Later' do a write up.

When we lived in KC we did it 3-4 times. It's a great way to see a movie. The food is only so-so, but it's fun to have someone bringing you food and booze while you sit in a nice recliner.

that place kicks ass! the food is mediocre, but having refills brought to me was cool. and not having children in there to talk and generally make noise was a MAJOR bonus.
