When considering the fundamentals of football, I agree with your assessment and empathize with your concern.
However, if a running back feels more comfortable holding the ball in one hand over the other then I'm not sure that doesn't take precedence. All in all, when taking both Johnson's college and pro career into account, he hasn't fumbled any more than the average running back. In fact, I would be curious as to whether or not his statistics actually indicate a lower ratio than the average. |
