Larry Johnson Plays Peter Cottontail

http://www.kcchiefs.com/news/2007/03...er_cottontail/

Kansas City Chiefs RB Larry Johnson again joined the Alpha Kappa Psi fraternity in hosting an “Easter Egg Hunt” for metro-area children. Johnson and his teammates took to the team’s practice facility as they assisted children in collecting eggs during the egg “hunt.” Later, Johnson and his Chiefs brethren signed autographs and played games with the children present.

easter2”This event is very near and dear to my heart,” Johnson noted as he was swarmed by children at the event. “Running the football on Sunday and scoring touchdowns is a great thrill but being able to help these kids get a proper Easter is just as gratifying. This is the second year I’ve been fortunate enough to join the Alpha Kappa Psi’s in putting this event on and each time I’ve come away with such a great sense of pride in what we’ve been able to do.”

2007 marks the 21st edition of the Alpha Kappa Psi fraternity’s Easter Egg Hunt. This annual event is a way to ensure that Kansas Citians who might not otherwise be able to, have a festive holiday. This is the second consecutive year the event has been held at the Chiefs Practice Facility.

Johnson established the “LJ’s Legacy & Growth Foundation” in 2005 as a result of his previous work with at-risk middle school students. This event is one of several activities that the Penn St. alum has backed in an attempt to touch the underprivileged of Kansas City. He also has spent time with the Kansas City, Missouri School District, as a local representative for the NFL’s Junior Player Development Program, and working with charitable organizations such as ReSTART.

Once again, Mrs Baird’s will be assisting Alpha Kappa Psi and Johnson by donating product to ensure the event’s success. Mrs Baird’s Bakeries was founded in 1908 when Ninnie L. Baird and her family when they began baking bread for neighbors. Today, the neighborhood has grown and now Mrs Bairds is delivered fresh to your local Kansas City area grocery stores. Mrs Baird’s Bakeries is a division of Bimbo Bakeries USA, one of the world’s leading baking companies.

THIS smells like an April Fools joke. Larry handing out easter eggs? The picture looks photoshopped.

Yes, white kids just don't understand the plight of a black easter bunny.
