Not saying the QB isn't the most important chess piece, but you still can't win without a defense at the least, and a running game sure is helpful.

QB is absolutely the most important piece.

I'm not mad that he took the ND job as any rational person would make that decision. I think he is a low life piece of shit that could have said he wanted to coach his team in the Sugar Bowl but instead abandoned a lot of young kids that had worked their hearts out for him.

That shows no backbone, lack of character and someone I don't want as the HC of this football team.

Or it was the fact that Notre Dame told him that if he accepted the job.....that he would have to report at that time.

You've become insufferable since your joke of a team is finally relevant. You'll be put back in stasis soon enough.

Not really. I've always been like this.....even when they were only winning 5 games. Suck it up and deal with it, Sally.

They did say that but would they refute the offer if he even asked to coach his team in the Sugar Bowl? The fact that he didn't even try and slithered out the back door without being seen.

Dave has already addressed this, but to reiterate what he said, that Indy D in that SB run played outstanding.

Manning tried to give away 2 games in that playoff run.

The defense saved his ass.

Who won the NFC title game last year? The team with the game manager and great defense or the team with the FQB and less than stellar defense? Every year the two teams that are gonna be fighting for the Lombardi are gonna have FQBs. It won't change this year. I guarantee you Schaub nor Smith won't be in the Super Bowl unless Schaub starts playing at an elite level. Smith is worthless.
The Giants defense got healthy last in the season, and were dominating in their playoff games and the SB, shutting down not only Alex Smith, but Aaron Rodgers and Tom Brady, as well.
