Got My MU-KU Tix Today

There was a story in the paper today that pre-sale for Jackson County residents was today at 10am at the Stadium or Ticket Master. Went to a Ticket Master out here in Lenexa by where I work. I live in Independence, so I took a Jackson County Tax receipt and my drivers license and had no problems. Got 8 seats about 15 rows up around the 10 yardline. So it's ON...bring on the beakers!

BTW: Ticketmaster is a real racket. They made about $80 on me just on the transaction. How come there's no competition for ticket services? Oh well, bring on Thanksgiving weekend!

The only other alternative would be to move the game to earlier in the season.

That's how rivalry games really work.

Season's like 07-08 are rare when both sides of a rivalry are near the top of the standings.

It would be better to open the conf season at Arrowhead. Otherwise, put it on campus.

Really no better place for college football than Mt. Oread, no reason to have fewer games there.

I hear they can't "hide" from OU or Texas any longer.

Wait what?

Are these from the "Disconnected From Reality Wickedson Football Preview Magazine" I didn't pick up this year?

The initial rankings really don't matter that much. Regardless of what MU is ranked in Rivals rankings, when they re-rank three or so years later, MU is always in or near the top 10. In other words, MU gets good players and develops them into great players (regardless of what Rivals initially thinks of MU's recruits). MU also wins football games, which is really what matters. MU isn't in on guys like Kiel, DGB, Williams, and Boehm unless they 1) win games and 2) consistently put guys in the League. Having two top 10 NFL draft picks this past year (one originally a 5*, the other a 3*) certainly didn't hurt in that regard.

That's the Rivals rankings from 2011.

2012 just started.

Point was made that the Big XII needed to "encourage" Kansas to compete in football.

That obviously isn't the case according to the Rivals rankings.

True,

rankings don't mean everything.

Anthony Collins and Aqib Talib from KU were both 2 star according to Rivals and ended up being first team All American.

Should be a fun season.

For a Kansas football fan there's no better place than our home field to enjoy the gameday experience.

I'm sure MU fans feel the same way.

Like I said earlier though, I think the game should be moved to earlier in the year ala Colo-Col St.

I prefer more than 35-7 for my "squashings"

Especially against a first year head coach.

But if that's your standard, cool...

Pinkel doesn't or you would have gotten your wish. Instead, he chose to run the ball 46 times versus 26 passes.

How do you manage to lose by 28 points when the other teams QB throws for 179 yards, 0 TDs, and 2 INTs? That doesn't seem possible.

Kansas had a very up and down season last year.

MU was the better team no doubt.
