50 things from Arrowhead today.

The following is a random list of things as a result of my trip to Arrowhead today. Full credit to stevieray for finding a ticket for me and damn near walking across fire to get it to me. You da man, my brother!

1. For those of you that have never met him, First Down Elvis is the nicest guy you'll ever meet. He's a, give you the shirt off of his back, (or the Chiefs ticket in his hand, as the case may be) kind of guy. I don't have the words to tell all of you what a great individual he is.
2. I forgot what a great experience Arrowhead was.
3. Hours after I've been home, I can still smell charcoal lighter fluid.
4. When making rounds through the parking lot with First Down Elvis, be prepared to stop every 15 to 20 feet for a fan wanting a photo op.
5. Funniest thing I heard in the parking lot today. "Everyone keeps staring at my new boobs." "Yeah. I know. I'm sorry I paid for the sonofabitches now."
6. When meeting someone in the parking lot to buy a ticket, it helps if the go between actually has the cell phone number of the person willing to sell the ticket.
7. I met a few Planeteers today. Seemed like genuinely nice folks. The pleasure was all mine.
8. I have a promising career as First Down Elvis's personal beer holder.
9. Sitting 4 rows back in the end zone was different. It was no better nor worse than anywhere else I've ever sat at a game.
10 I think my face is sun burned.
11. First Down Elvis went through great lengths to get me my ticket before the game, even at the cost of missing an appearance by Lamar and then having some chick go psycho on him about it.
12. I didn't eat anything all day and man, am I hungry now!
13. The two people to my immediate left were annoying as hell. The man had no idea how the game of football is played. The woman made the sign of the cross before every play. When they played the "Tomahawk Chop" song, instead of singing, "Ooooh! Ohwoooooohooohoooh ..." she sounded like a sick dog, "Arooooooo .... oooooooo ... ooooooo ...."
14. The two guys sitting to my right didn't have the decency to wear ANY Chiefs gear. None! Nada! Zip! Zilch! Speaking of which, is 1970 polyester plaid back in fashion now?
15. I was going to dress up for the game as "Planet Man" with a Chiefs Planet logo on my cape. I wanted to help pimp the site. Least I could do and all. I left the ball in Phil's court about the logo for the cape.. He apparently dropped it.
16. Speaking of dropping, Chrebet couldn't catch a cold today.
17. Moore absolutely PANCAKED Surtain on that interception return. It was brutal.
17 I am no longer worried about our run defense.
18. Cheese flavored Chex Mix makes a suitable snack while typing this.
19. Our pass defense leaves something to be desired IMO.
20. First Down Elvis might be buying a new cell phone today that he left behind were it not for me.
21. 3rd and goal for the Jets made me remember what 90+ decibels was.
22. Green should NOT have thrown that INT in the end zone. He should have just thrown it away and settled for a Tynes field goal attempt.
23. I managed to avoid having my picture taken today, thus remaining the anonymous Planeteer.
24. $4.75 for a freaking bottle of water!? $4.75!!!??? Are you kidding me!!!???
25. I bought the afore mentioned bottle of water anyway.
26. Pitching a shutout for 3+ quarters was sweeeeeeeet!!!
27. I don't remember the last time we blocked a filed goal but that was sweet too!!!
28. This running back by committee WORKS!
29. My keyboard now has orange keys. Damn you, cheese flavored Chex Mix!
30. It only took 3 plays to score in the first quarter.
31. Pennington hangs onto the ball much like Dave Kreig.
32. If I were the head coach for the Jets, I'd be looking for a new center.
33. The center I just fired would make a good long snapper.
34. Green spread the ball around nicely.
35. IMO, we used Dante way too much as a receiver today.
36. Lawrence Tynes field goal ... GOOD!
37. Lawrence Tynes filed goal ... GOOD!
38. Lawrence Tynes field goal ... MISSED! ... damnit.
39. We are already ahead of half the AFC West at the time of this writing.
40. Derrick Johnson was all over the filed today. This kid has the makings of a play maker.
41. Colquitt averaged damn near 50 yards per kick.
42. The Jets did not have a single 1st down rushing.
43. We were not penalized the length of the field today. How refreshing is that?
44. The give away/take away ratio sure looks good right now.
45. Let's face it, the Jets killed themselves today. An INT and 7 fumbles. Yeeesh. GO DEFENSE!
46. Johnson, Knight and Allen each had a sack.
47. Ty Law ... who?
48. Injuries suck. Hopefully none of them are serious.
49. Dropped pass after dropped pass ... the Jets receivers have a promising career with the Seahawks.
50 And finally ...

HOW SUHWEEEET IT IS!!!!

Dude had a gift. I'm not sure why the hell green was trying to force the ball to, who?, Parker, was it? in triple coverage.

Otherwise, Ty Law wasn't much of a presence. Good or bad. Mr. Anonymous.

How many New York points were the result of that INT? What else did he do today?

So there WERE open receivers that he didn't see? Anyone get wide open deep?

That being said, id love to go into a playoff game in January with this guy against a Manning/Brady/Roethlisberger. Lets hope Surtain and Warfield are both 100% if we make it that far.

From what I saw, Parker had his man beat and was open.

Law was covering someone else and drifted back towards the back of the endzone and made the play.

I'm more pissed with the playcall, personally. If you're going to pass on the goalline out of that formation, use play action.

If not, spread them out and run a pick play or something.

I saw no one open deep all day. Looked to me like we played more of a short game, by design. There were open receiver a few times but it's hard to see them when your running away from the pressure and they are on the opposite side of the field. No concerns on my part as far as Green is concerned. The O line needed to step up a notch IMHO.
