NO! You have no idea that there "wasn't a good one to draft". Once the 2015 season is over than you MIGHT be able to say "There wasn't a good QB in the 2013 class".

By that notion a GM couldn't say well that player was projected to be that good and go that high when that player fails.

Are you saying even if the QB that becomes a good starter was a late pick or undrafted , the Chiefs are stupid for not taking that QB 1.1? If so that's dumb. |

That has nothing to do with the moment you are making the decision. If you are more worried about a mistake then you won't make a correct decision.

At the first pick in round two, I feel there was no QB that will be better than Alex Smith. You want a team with major question marks at QB. The New York Jets. |

We have all seen where the 1st round QB dominates the SB wins category. But I would imagine that it is less than 5% of 1st round QBs ever win a SB.

Within Reid's system, I think ASmith will have more (OK, at least as many) 300 yard games this year alone than he has his entire career combined. I don't think people realize that in the past 10 years, the Eagles haven't thrown for less than 3500 yards in a season under Reid- even when they really, really sucked. I don't think Reid will finally say, "Whoa, now is the time to stop throwing the ball!" More likely he went out and got the one guy this year who, in his mind, could throw the ball that much--whether any Chiefs fan likes it or not. |
