How soon can Reid begin to trim the roster down? Does he have to wait until the season is over before he can starting cutting players....?

If the remainder of the prorated bonus is smaller than Cassel's base salary this year, the difference is a savings to the team. If it's the other way around, the team takes the hit and moves forward with this disaster we have at QB. I don't have a clue what his numbers are, but keeping him to save a couple million shouldn't be an option. He's a waste of a valuable roster spot for either a legit veteran back-up, or possibly a rookie who has potential to be the QBOTF.
