I did hear that, but he also said alot of "they really did it" and "they" this and "they" that. I feel he was very emotional and said what he wanted but he really does love these guys and our fans!

Gun should take a lot of credit for this win. He had our guys ready to b!tch slap the Rams. You don't think he felt it was "his" team during those earlier losses? Yeah, he was sure allocating blame to others when he talked about retiring because he let his team down.
Gun is bringing this team out of the dark ages. I may have been critical of him in the past, but I'm 100% behind him as long as he continues on course. Sure, it may have taken him a while to come around, but consider that he's a former DC and a Marty-disciple. He's come a long way, as have the Chiefs. |

Gman, I am not saying he does not deserve credit, just not all of it. And, I don't understand the year and something comment. Surely, he was not that blind in training camp, to continue his smashmouth philosophy and into the early season. But, really, he rarely makes a whole lot of sense, when he opens his mouth.

I think Gunther means what you are seeing today has been a work in progress, and I think he is doing awesome! After all the problems that have been addressed, why nitpick about him having a clue? I guarantee the players KNOW this his baby...

G_Man,
Good post in #2. I agree with you. It seems Gun is learning and growing and evolving with his team. As he and this team grow, this team is startig to reflect his personality. This is definitely not Marty's Chiefs anymore. I think that is what Gun is trying to say. ------------------ Red Eyes Chinn Up. The SitCom must die!! |

He also said something to the fact that the Chiefs are their own toughest opponent. He also told the team that they needed to start beating their opponents instead of themselves.
Kudos to Gun and the Chiefs, Dan
|

Once Gun got a feel for this team and got involved with the offense - things started flying. After the Raida game he said he was going to get more involved with the defense, he did, and look what happened. The defense played AGGRESSIVE CHIEFS DEFENSE! My point is that once Gun took control of things - things got better. He also ditched the stupid RBBC thing going more with Kimble. Surprise, a Chief RB gains over 100 yards! It is his team and he is evolving as a GOOD coach should! Next - he needs to get more involved with the Special Teams. I'd hate to be Mike Stock tomorrow!
