That was probably the problem. Most people don't even DREAM of getting a colonoscopy at 39. Most doctors suggest your first one come at 50. Unless he had a ridiculous family history of it, there's no reason a 39 year old would think of it.

My family has a history of colon cancer. My first check was at 30. Have another one coming up at 40. From there it goes to every 5 years.

Just had my first one (I’m over 50). Took a few polyps out but since my mom died from it he wants my recheck in 2 years. The procedure was less of a big deal than I thought. Didn’t enjoy drinking the gallon of slimy stuff but the crapping wasn’t bad, I just watched tv all day and went every 30 minutes, LOL. I tried explaining to people that it’s not so bad, I didn’t have that imminent “I’m gonna shit my pants” feeling like the one you get when you eat bad Taco Bell. But it’s definitely an interesting experience to piss out your butt.

I eat a TON of meat. I got one at 34 due to what ended up being hemmroids. Clean as a whistle fortunately

For those of you who have not seen 21 Bridges. It's an Action/Thriller.

21 BRIDGES follows an embattled NYPD detective (Chadwick Boseman), who is thrust into a citywide manhunt for a pair of cop killers after uncovering a massive and unexpected conspiracy.
