For me Season 2 was better than 1 and Spartacus wasn't even in it. And I can't believe they poop in public then wipe with sticks that look like cat-tails.

Sad about Whitfield. Guy was gypped to die of cancer so young. I don't think a change in the lead will lose my interest unless the new guy is just awful or something. It's not like it's a complex role requiring amazing acting range.
The show is pretty cool. I'm partial to historical fiction though and I love the Spartacus tale because there's just enough known and enough not known that you can really be creative while not raping history. The slave uprising was fun, but the WAR is what I've been waiting for. Anyway, I wish they'd lose all that CGI blood. It looks terrible. |

He isn't Whitfield, but i'll give him a chance. He could be as good as you can get. Finished season 1, wow he Whitfield is just amazing. I'm just pissed it took me until his death to watch this show. |

Just watched a preview.. I hope it can continue to great.. There better be one hell of a tribute though.. Also I see the champion of the prequel is in this one.. Wonder which side he is on..
Please, do not be bad.. I will still watch it even if it is.. |

Looking forward to it. I'm still apprehensive about how they change from gladiators to war machine. I'll catch it.

Having Crixus, Gannicus, and Sparticus all back in the show will be pretty awesome. How the heck did Lucy Lawless' character survive getting stabbed by Crixus like that?
This next season actually looks like it could be the best one yet. As cool as the arena was, this war outside of the arena has the ability to be far more epic in scope. I'm pretty stoked about this show. Hopefully, Liam does well with the character that Andy so skillfully began. |

Started watching this on Netflix a few days ago - I'm almost through the first season. Very enjoyable show (agree about the slow 300-ripoff start). Bummer knowing that the lead guy is dead, but I think Chuckler will make a fine replacement.

I really liked season 1, season 2 without Spartacus even better IMHO.

Skip the first episode altogether if you like. The series is nothing close to the mediocrity that was 300.
