2015 Clinched Central Division title and Home Field advantage in the playoffs. First team in MLB to win 100 games since 2011.

  • Made the postseason 11 times in the last 15 seasons.
  • Only 1 losing season since 2000.
  • Reached the World Series 4 times since 2004 and won as many championships (two) the past eight seasons as it did from 1965 to 2005.

I was an adamant Heyward hater early on, and while I don't think he is worth a $150MM contract you cant argue he is hitting is stride right now and when looking at this team offensively he is important.

I still may let him walk depending on his demands after this season.

I suppose it depends on years.

I think he is a $12MM per year player to a team. I know that sounds nuts but it is what it is in my mind.

Pitchers, power hitters, and high average guys get money. He isn't any of those.
