Shooting at TDKR Midnight Premiere in Aurora, CO. Multiple dead.

At least 10 moviegoers were killed and 39 injured at a cinema in the Colorado city of Aurora in the Denver suburbs. They were attending a midnight showing of the new Batman film, The Dark Knight Rises.

The theater was packed with a lot of people, many of them young fans, at the time the shooting started, 9news reports. The violence erupted some 15 minutes after the movie started, witnesses said.

Some say that when they first heard the shooting, they thought it was some new type of special effect.

Local media reports that two gunmen were involved in the rampage. An explosive device was set off during the shooting, injuring several people.

Witnesses said the gunmen were probably wearing body armor and gas masks and used some kind of a tear gas bomb in the attack.

Some reports say police have apprehended one of the assailants while the second one is still at large.

Police have cleared people from the scene over fears that another explosive device might be on the premises.

Aurora medical services were alerted to attend to the large number of injured

They know the guy bought a ticket and went into the theater. Its not like someone slipped out and immediately he came in, there was plenty of time for him to go to the car, suit up, and then go back. I don't know what "credits" the person was talking about, if that was the actual start of the movie or the previews and other junk which can take 10 minutes easy. Plus others have said he didn't show up and start shooting until a good 15-30 minutes into the movie.

There aren't credits at the beginning of Christopher Nolan movies. He usually doesn't even put the title on the screen until the end. Maybe they meant the trailers, but those aren't credits. There were a ton of trailers in front of the movie though.

The witness thinks he left the door pried open. Okay the guy goes out the door leaves it pried open and 15-20 minuets later the gunman comes in.

Where did the guy go after his phone call? Did he come back into the theater? Also if he never returned who was with him? Do people go to the movies alone? Also emergency exit doors are always locked from the outside. I bet he had an accomplice with him.

You need to back away from the crazy glue. There's nothing to suggest this guy acted with help. I've gone to movies by myself numerous times... including TDKR.

Seriously. I don't know who's nuttier, Holmes or someone who thinks you can't attend the movies by yourself. Did Pee-wee Herman have someone on his grassy knoll? And the reason watergate was first uncovered was b/c someone left duct tape on a door latch to prevent it from locking.

Why would he need an accomplice to open the door for him? He was in the theater to begin the movie. Then he slipped out, propped the door open, got dressed, and then came back in.

No part of that needs an accomplice.

CNN is reporting that the Psychiatrist warned school officials that the Holmes could be a threat and she even told the Threat Assessment team. But no one called the police because he dropped out right after.

The claim is that the school no longer had control over him once he dropped out. I have no idea how privacy laws work, but it seems like if he was deemed a credible threat that the police should've still been notified. If he made threats about students, he wouldn't need a student ID to shoot a bunch of students. And if he made threats about the public in general, it seems like the people who protect the public should have been notified.
