Maybe 1500 to make it sound achievable

Alexander has a shot at 2000- LT 1500-1600 Edge-1800 Hell even LJ 1500-1600-especially if he racks up 200 against Dallas.

1,000 yards in a season is only 62.5 yards a game.
2,000 yards is 125 yards a game. 1500 yards is 93.75 yards a game. and so on. 1500 is about right. 1600 isnt much of a difference. |

A good line, staying healthy, and having a coach that believes in the run helps a whole lot. Having a passing game like the Edge has takes the heat off the RB too.

I think the blocking rules have changed a bit and some things that used to be holding are now legal. I also think that because of the PI rules the field is opened up a little more which also aids the run game. I also think that their are alot of good RBs in the league right now. The game is geared toward offense.

I agree Phil, lots of good backs-and what about the ones coming out of college next year-jeez every team is going to have at least a Cadilac.

I agree with the above posts. The 1000 yard mark was set as the standard for a great running back when there were fewer games and the season was much shorter then it is now.

I agree that 1000 yards isnt alot, then again, I can remember how many years of Martyball that we couldn't manage a 1000 yard runner. Greg Hill would love to have 1000 yards in a year.
