Does Alex Smith deserve a extension after this season?

Does he deserve a extension to be our QB long term or do we take a chance on somebody else.

This is what I am saying. This years wins is not really by him alone. We have because of other reasons, not on the heels of Alex Smith.

At the same time, we have not lost games because of Alex Smith either, he's good, not bad and not elite. If we had to rely all the time on him to win games, I do not think we would win often enough to compete.

See, that's a fair point the first 9 games of the season.

The last 5 though, alex has had a huge hand in keeping the Chiefs competitive against good teams, and he was instrumental today in capitalizing on Raiders mistakes, and turning turnovers into points. At one point, the Chiefs were up by only 4 points, and that's when a lot of people in the game day thread, were calling a 3 and out, and Alex executed.

If you cant say that Alex is a cause of victories these past two weeks, and a big reason they had a chance in the two Denver and San Diego games, im not sure that you are being very honest.

the chiefs have stopped no one really since the Cleveland game.

We also haven't played indoors all season, nor will we, until possibly the playoffs.

Maybe I'm wrong, but doesn't Tennessee have a very good secondary with two Pro Bowl caliber Corners?

I think Charles is great, but without a good QB you go nowhere. All you have to do to see a comparison is Barry Sander's career.
right,Alex offers what is awful hard to come by in the NFL at QB and that's consistency. I love just having that at the QB position,if this defense can pull itself out the gutter we would be superbowl favorites. I think we saw what ALex could do when Andy finally took the chains off and started to air it out.

I have not said anything like this. I said he has not been called upon to win any games consistently.

He has done just what he has done all year, not lose them. Play calling and plays executing has more to do with the offense now than AS does. To me, Alex has done this pretty much all year, players were not executing to help him look better.

To be fair, our play calling as well as not executing was the biggest reason we sucked for 9 weeks.

No, you haven't. You haven't answered jack shit.

Geno Smith and the 2013 Draft is past history. And I am completely on record wanting the team to draft Geno Smith. Before they signed Alex Smith. That's not hypocritic. Not even close. Don't be so stupid.

However, you are continuing to bag on Smith. As I've stated, I want to know who you think will be better in either the 2014 Draft or Free Agency than what Smith offers this team.

But, like others, you can't come up with anything, can you?

But you and others continue to bag on Smith without offering up any alternatives. That's disingenuous and stupid.

Either state who you think we should draft or sign that will offer improvements over what Smith offers, or shut the **** up with the constant negativity and stupidity. That's easy enough, right?

That is a cop out and literally the most generic response of everyone that eats crow but refuses to give credit where it is due. Thanks for restating it for the billionth time as if it was derived from your own keen insight.
