Wood-Like Porcelain Tiles
Our carpet is on its last legs. I have wood floors in the great room but the addition of our K9 Buddy takes it's toll. Someone suggested porcelain tiles that look like wood.
Anybody have this? Do you have dogs/kids? Looks nice to me. Not cheap though. http://www.flooranddecoroutlets.com/wood-plank.html |

Looks nice...but damn i bet it's REALLY expensive.
Maybe you can just use some durable laminate or something?

I've got the East wing of my guest home done in that.
Never actually seen it though. |

Porcelain wood? Sounds like a prono.

We put it a friends main cave. He lucked out and the lowes girl rung up one piece as one box.
Looks good. It is not wood though. Literally looks like ceramic wood laid down wood paneling formation. Next step is to see how it stacks up to drunks. |

the look of wood without the warmth. I kind of like it, though.
I would tell people the floor was made of petrified wood - very rare.

What's your main concern about potential flooring?
Durability? Moisture? Ease of install? |

They sell click handscrapes (both solid and engineered). Ease of installation - check, hides a lot of imperfections - check, pretty good with moisture - check. |

If you want something that is indestructible and easy to install (if the subfloor is OK), check this out:
http://freefitfloors.com/ I have installed it, and it is amazing. |
