Am I? Or did Baltimore sign Grbac and let the QB that just won them a Superbowl walk? Was Grbac the highest paid free agent that year? Was he in demand? Yeah, he was a jackass but he was decent.

You guys sit here and tell me that where a QB is drafted doesn't matter and then turn around and say a guy who played in the pro bowl hasn't done shit? I know the pro bowl voting is flawed but what about wins? Winning is what it's about right?

And no, the pass to Newsome would NOT have been a TD despite what aturnis and Boss are saying. Newsome was pushed out. Unless Bowe or Baldwin have some magical force that prevents them from being pushed out while in the air, the same thing would have happened to them too. Especially against a starting corner.

There was close to nothing preventing Newsome from getting his feet inbounds other than his own balance or lack thereof.

And since we're in the "what if" mode, wouldn't a #1 corner do a better job of pushing Bowe/Baldwin out?

The reason's I don't particularly like Stanzi are:

1) His supporters are ridiculously over the top with their praise.
2) I didn't think he played smart at Iowa. It seems like he makes very stupid plays, he actually reminds me of Bono. His under throw on the deep ball was atrocious. Looked like Cassel at his worst. I don't like Quinn, but agree with the sentiment that Cassel's ceiling isn't high enough. Brady has the highest ceiling of the three and his floor is higher than Stanzi's, albeit lower than Cassel's.

Disagree, and so do Mel Kipers and Mike Mayock. Both believe he has a high ceiling, one of the better in the class. Both agreed it might take him some time to get there though.

You really need to watch the game again. The fade was a great throw, any higher and it might not be caught and has no chance of coming down in bounds. The receiver caught it, and couldn't get down in bounds. Most scrubs receivers can't do both things, it's why they are scrubs.

Quinn's ceiling is limited by his inaccuracy. He threw one pretty ball all night. The rest were very Casselesque in that they didn't travel too far from the LOS.

True. Perfectly possible that our coaching staff is dumb as **** or hand-tied by Pioli.

However, the vast majority of reports that I've heard from camp (talk radio and Star articles) I've said that Stanzi hasn't looked very good. I'd be more than happy to conspiracy theory this thing, but the answer seems to be pretty simple, unfortunately.

Didn't you just say those guys both miss on 100 players a year?

Has the the thought ever crossed your mind that maybe they missed on Stanzi?

Yes, a #1 corner would do a better job of pushing Newsome out.

But Newsome is not Bowe/Baldwin.
