It's funny to me that people still think Barney is such a great character. Maybe he was for the first couple of seasons, but his shtick has gotten old.

Same goofy stunts every episode. Booooooooring. That show jumped the shark about 3 seasons ago.

He's awesome because he's more or less a parody of himself. The fact that he's grown up of sorts in his relationship with Robin, then Nora, then Quinn makes him a "good" character.
