49ers have completed a trade with the Chiefs for Alex Smith, tho can't be official til March 12. Chiefs really made a commitment to Smith

I did hear they were the highest on Floyd out of all the prospects in the draft.

I think if they get Albert signed, he could be the guy at 1.

Floyd would play the 5 tech, Poe would stay at NT. I'm starting to believe that Tyson Jackson might be gone too.

Floyd would fill a big gap. He would replace Dorseys spot.

Well a couple days ago on the Kansas City Star it sounded like Dorsey wanted to keep Jackson.

Reid drafts DT in the 1st more than any other position. Besides, this team might lose Dorsey and Jackson. Getting Floyd, who has so much upside, isn't altogether terrible given the options.

I could live with that. I do like the kid. I just don't want to replace anyone that we already have. Jackson's contract is stupid regardless of his progression this year. If he's not willing to come back cheap as **** then I don't want anything to do with him. Under that circumstance, I could go through it without puking.

He may want to keep him, but I have big doubts about Jackson's ability to play in an attacking 1 gap defense.
