Peyton Manning says he will have MRI on Monday

Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning will have an MRI Monday after being hit in the right knee area late in Sunday’s win vs. San Diego, he told the media after the game, according to the Broncos’ official Twitter feed.

“I’m pretty sore. They kind of got me twice in that lower area…get an MRI tomorrow and will know more then,” Manning said, according to the Broncos.

Manning was limping after being hit by Chargers defensive end Corey Liuget on a pass play in the final two minutes of regulation. Manning was attended to by the Broncos’ medical staff, but he stayed in the game.

Went to Soldier field for the Bears/Giants game a few weeks back and the song they play after td's is ****ing awkward. Its probably loved by the purist, but it was very odd to an outsider.

This... Well spent 15 yards that the officials are going to give them anyway. You know if we stop them, they'll go for it on 4th-and-10 and PM will target somebody with tight coverage, that clown will miss the catch, come up crying like a bitch, and their 12th, 13th, 14th or 15th player will toss a flag (right on queue).

I'm telling you, if we don't get ahead of this and make it an issue now, the typical coach-speak frustration with nothing to back them up in terms of "and we warned you too" deal.

You're correct. The high ankle sprain IS out NOW and you can bet protection that it garners, by the Donx O-line & the NFL IS an issue...

It makes a lot of sense to just flood the A-Gap Sunday night. Manning already had limited mobility before the injury. Corner blitzes are good, but Manning can step up out of the rush. But if you come up the middle, he's toast.

I hope Poe dominates and pushes the pocket in. He does that, and Manning's done.

I expect any number of "unseen" 3-on-1 "cut blocks" will be coming Poe's way come Sunday night. Let's not forget, linemen don't matter to the league, their eyes will only be on PM and only QBs and WRs; everybody else is expendable.

If Andy doesn't have a tape in the league office by the end of today, with a note saying, "if we're victims of chop blocks (seen or not), holds on the D ends (seen or not), picks by WRs (seen or not), or goofy DPI or holding calls (made-up or not), he, his staff and his players will make a scene of epic proportion to make sure that it's all the rage on every talk-radio and TV show come Monday morning. Just call the game fair and make sure you have you objective hat on and your head on a swivel."

And if they complain about the letter, that's just as good. There's really no downside to this without them making asses of themselves by obviously calling a bad game (which was probably what they had planned anyway).
