The most depressing thing about all this: think about how much money Clark spent to bring in this coaching staff and front office. Clark has every plan on this regime being in place for the next 10 years.

Even though this will be strike one, presumably with strikes two and three soon to follow, we are NEVER going to get rid of these guys. We're really, actually, stuck with Reid and Dorsey this time.

Dude you are out in deep left field. Andrew Luck ran a pro-style offense where he had the ability to make all the calls and audibles at the line of scrimmage like Peyton Manning. Geno Smith's number one knock according to some scouts is his ability to process information quickly. He comes from a one-read offense. Andy Reid spent the last decade and a half coaching Donovan McNabb and Michael Vick... implying there is some kind of racial undertone to this is completely and utterly embarrassing.

Smith passes the eye test as an NFL QB. He at least throws the ball like an adult.

Cassel is horrible in every way. Cassel is one of the worst QB's I've ever seen.

Alex Smith is probably about the 15th best QB in the NFL. His ceiling is probably the 11th best. He is what he is.

In the NFL, do I want the 11th best QB to be my "franchise" QB? Hell no. But we're not trading for Cassel. Smith compares WAY MORE to Green than Cassel.

There is no way Alex Smith couldn't run Reid's offense as good, if not better than Kevin Kolb and Kevin Kolb had a few games where he screamed "franchise QB"...

Like I said, we trade a 4th for Smith, trade out of #1 and then land an E.J. Manual and Tavon Austin and I'll be disappointed we didn't get our guy but I won't be without hope since Reid/Dorsey at least attempted to fix our QB and land a decent prospect as well.

I can live with Smith/Manual I'll hate Smith/late round QB.
