The concern is that Shumpert is experiencing discomfort in his left knee -- the same one that he tore his ACL in 13 months ago. His status for Tuesday night's Game 4 remains unclear."

Final thought : I'm not sure I've seen a worse player play as many minutes as Perkins. That guy actively assisted Memphis in winning this series. It was painful to watch, even as a Memphis fan. When Conley turned it over, and Perkins attempted to lead a fast break only to turn it back over.....it would have been all I could do to contain myself if I were a teammate.

It's what they do with the money Harden freed up that can still salvage the situation. It's on the ownership and Presti now to decide if they want a ring or higher profit margins. Whether Perkins is on the roster or not tells that story for me.
I wouldn't give up on Presti yet. He'll find the 2-3 pieces that OKC needs and win a couple of championships with Durant before it is all done.

Comical how big a difference there is between these two, especially in the last three postseasons. Perkins may have been fine to play five years ago during the Boston run, but he's just bad now. Hard to believe Brooks can't see it (or just refuses to act on it).

Perhaps a guy like Reggie Evans this past off-season?

With all that said, I'd still be happy if I'm OKC with Presti as my GM. I think he's a sharp guy, and he'll rebound to improve this team for next season.
I agree. The ship took a wrong turn, but he still has a chance to correct course. Overall, he's done a hell of a job. The resistance to dump Perk and Brooks are definitely the two bigger mistakes in my eyes.

He's a complete bag of shit. Unfortunately, he has the confidence and fire, but ZERO talent to go with it.

We basically lost any chance we had of winning the Finals on this decision alone. He would not let it go. Perkins played twice as many minutes as Collison even though Miami was playing Bosh at center. Despite the massive plus minus difference and the massive leads we spotted them he never changed. Does he learn this year? No, starts Perkins and spots Miami 2 more healthy leads. Brooks should have been crucified for the media, but it was barely touched on. He's a shit coach, and was completely exposed without Westbrook and Harden. I would rather start any ****ing player in the NBA at center over Perkins next year.

Now Perkins can't even stay on the floor against a big team like Memphis.. He has no use anymore. Completely worthless.

I don't remember if I shared it in this thread or not. My buddy showed me a stat before game 3. Turnovers per touches in the playoffs. Kendrick Perkins was at a crushing 43 %. The guy is a liability and a joke. If he's retained next year they are more concerned with money.

They didn't get players back in return, but its how they maneuver from here. It opens up money to get a player they need more than Harden to win a title. However, Ibaka isn't getting better which I feared from the start. His basketball IQ is ridiculously low. I would have rather traded him and said it that day. I know their thinking was interior defense, and he does help in that aspect. He's also a below average rebounder and inconsistent jump shooter with no post game.. They wouldn't have been as good without either of them this year, and I don't believe could have dethroned the Heat with both(especially without Westbrook) Brooks being re-signed was a much bigger mistake though. Westbrook and Durant can carry the show with more solid pieces around them. Success or failure is how they proceed going forward.

I wish Pacers would end this. No one wants to see a game 6 of this series.
