I don’t have any expectations but I also am not giving up on him until I see what Daly/Spags can get out of him.
They clearly had a role for him before he got hurt. He was ahead of KPass IIRC. |

I think the injury could be the best thing to possibly happen to him IF he was motivated to kick his ass into gear and become the best possible version of himself.
I’d like to see him come back in good shape, and I firmly believe he will be a solid player for us in the DL rotation. Why? Because every single DL met or exceeded expectations in 2019 under Daly. It would be a great, great thing if he could be a real player because if Jones is traded, Speaks may actually be able to provide some push as a pass rushing 3 technique. |

At this point, everyone's just guessing. We'll just have to wait until training camp. With that said, my guess is with all the free agents on our roster I think we'll have a spot for him on the 53.
Hopefully his dumb ass isn't stuffing down cheetos playing fortnite and actually takes this offseason as a chance to get in shape. |

I thought he looked great in camp and was poised for a big season. I still believe that about this year, he’s definitely a munch better fit for this scheme... I’m still convinced Veach knew we were switching to a 4-3 when he brought in the likes of Speaks, Hitchens, and O’Daniel.

as long as he doesn't balloon up, he has a chance to be a very productive player. People give him alot of shit because he's not a big muscular guy. Well, he never has been.

Should’ve called this thread “Breeland Speaks ****ing Sucks”...would’ve guaranteed a Pro Bowl season.

He’s seen what it takes to be a beast in this scheme. He sees frank and chris’ paychecks, working in this scheme. Throw in Daly and spags, and everything should be in place.

I thought he looked decent under Buttons. Too slow to be an OLB but I think there is potential there

Maybe he will pull a KPass and turn out to be good later in his rookie contract. But KPass is in way better shape. From what I've seen of Speaks, he has some good moves that breaks blocks but has no acceleration, I've seen him beat the blocks and just go to a complete stop for a second and then slowly try to get to the QB, but it's always too late.

I’m interested in seeing what their plan on the defensive line is for next season. Currently we have Clark, Okafor, KPass, Speaks and Harris. Not sure if they try to bring back Ogbah or not. If they let Jones go....they could try and play either Speaks or KPass on the inside for obvious passing downs.
