Placing a bet at a sportsbook
I've got a buddy who just moved to Las Vegas. If I were to want him to place a bet for me on tonight's Louisville-WSU game, how would I go about it? Obviously he would have to go to a sportsbook, but what should I look for in terms of whether or not placing the bet is worth it? Furthermore, how would I find that information?
Thanks in advance. |

Define worth it. A quick scan of the odds I see online put the line at Louisville -10 with an over/under of 133.

Does that mean Louisville wins by 10? and what's the over/under? |

Also it looks like WSU is +435, which means if you pick them straight up and bet $100 you win $435.
Nothing too out of the ordinary, but the lines in Vegas shift based on who is betting what. You will see them shift because they want to keep a 50/50 split on each wager, so they can collect their edge. |

Honestly I'm not too experienced in betting basketball lines but in my uneducated opinion, the line seems pretty close to where it should be for a game like this. I would feel comfortable betting either Louisville or WSU against it.
To add to what Old Dog said, if you bet that line, you win $90 for every $100 you bet. |

I like the +10 line for WSU. I rarely do over/under.

IIRC this is only the second final 4 game with a double digit point spread. I don't see a scenario where I could back Louisville even if they are the better team.

If you think Wichita State is a legit good basketball team who could win 2 or 3 times out of 10 against LU, then both the +10 line or that huge +435 for betting on them to win both look very attractive. There's no way I'd bet LU and give up that many points to the Shockers.

If you're thinking Shockers you should take a little taste on the Moneyline at +435

Not a chance I would touch the money line, but if you do it, I hope you win.
