-- Cracker Barrel Old Country Store & Restaurant, what do you order?
What do you order at Cracker Barrel Old Country Store & Restaurant? Is there a certain location you specifically make a point to go to? Maybe en route to a nice vacation spot!? I'd say I like their B&G and Pancakes the best. They also make a nice bacon flavored sausage(although I can't find anything on it on the web) (I swear it existed!), or at least it used to, it was an alternative to their spicy whole-hog standard breakfast sausage. Plus you could purchase tubes of it raw, to go!
Lunch or Dinner I'd go pot roast without hesitation, which plate would you do? breakfast plates. lunch/dinner plates. location near you? |

Based on the menu link, it doesnt look like my favorite breakfast choice is there anymore... it was something like "the big country boy" etc... it was a huge, delicious gutload
Havent eaten there in quite a while, but their breakfast is great. Dont recall ever eating there for anything but breakfast |

When we were travelling every year, we always looked for Cracker Barrel's. Mainly because we knew what to expect. My go to breakfast was the Sunrise Sampler and for dinner the chicken fried steak.

Eaten there at all times of the day, but have only ordered off the breakfast menu. I like the blueberry pancakes with traditional maple syrup. They have good lemonade, too.

For breakfast....always get the Smokehouse Breakfast with the eggs scrambled and turkey bacon. The wife and I go there at least once a month for breakfast as our Saturday morning out breakfast.
For lunch/dinners, I have had alot of different things there. Love the trout with green beans and corn as veggies. I also enjoy the Chicken and Dumplings with green beans and mashed potatoes. But my favorite there during the summer is either the Campfire Chicken or Campfire Beef (now the Campfire Mix with sausage and beef) Cracker Barrel meals are what they are.....not fine cuisine, but filling and normally pretty good. One thing i will say for them.....when the service isn't good or they have had issues with getting the wrong veggies with my meal, they always have made it right and in most cases knock something off the price. |

BTW...I have also ordered the Sunday special, Homestyle Chicken and gotten an extra veggie to go. Usually just finish one of the chickens and eat the 2 sides that come with it. I take the other chicken pattie home with a biscuit and the extra veggie (usually green beans) and have it for lunch at work the next day.
