Call of Duty will go head-to-head with Battlefield 3 in 2011.

The third game in the series, which will be shown to press during the Game Developers Conference in San Francisco next month, is set for release this coming fall, Electronic Arts confirmed.

The publisher revealed the first teaser trailer for the game on its official website tonight. The trailer, which contains no actual gameplay, displays quick cuts of helicopters, ground troops, tanks and fighter jets.

Additional details courtesy of the official Battlefield Blog confirm a full single-player and co-op campaign, jets, prone, and 64-player multiplayer for the PC version. The Frostbite 2 engine will power the game and a Limited Edition will be revealed around GDC.

Developer DICE confirmed earlier this morning it was canceling the release of Battlefield 1943 and the Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Onslaught pack for PC.

Only have 2 assignments left to do. The toughest one for me is those damn 5 DPV kills. I don't ever remember it being so hard to run someone over in any previous BF game. I'd rather not have to rely on that damn .50cal with it's shitty sector of fire.

I stunk it up in Recon last night.
spotted a lot, deployed a mobile spawn point etc. Got a couple of kills and assists, but had low point rounds.

not sure how to use that T-UGS thing that I just unlocked.

Probably not, man. The Old Republic is owning my video game world right now. It's probably the best game I have ever played. I wish you guys were into that kind of stuff, but I understand it's not for everyone.

Use the UMP instead of a sniper rifle and you'll probably do much better (even though UMP is weak as shit).

Thanks. I did ok with the M100 (or whatever the initial sniper rifle was) on some of the larger maps. But was useless on a lot of the others.

Gonna take some practice I suppose...much like it was when I was first starting out with Assault.

Any tips on what to do with that T-UGS thing? It's like a motion sensor....I think?

Yeah, it's a motion sensor thing. I only found it semi-useful when defending MCOMMs. Outside of that, I thought it was completely worthless.

I like MMos but man, I won't get paid for like a month and I don't have the money to spend on it and maintain it. Maybe later this year. But anyway...

I HATE INCOMPETENCE. How can you allow some dude to come up behind me in our own area where you can clearly see him and shoot me down, THEN kill him? That happens to me constantly and about 1/3 of my deaths are because of it. Also when I yell over the mic, their team are on rooftops, no one even bothers to look and I die 5 more times to different people on different rooftops I haven't seen. Another 1/3 of my deaths are to those people. The last third are one on ones, half of those are on reloads and I'm screwed. Next time they sell a BF game, have it come with a dang mic.

there should be lobbies with mic's only to play. I can't stand these quiet ass games. At least on the 360 you can be in a party with friends. I feel ya Setsuna.

Thanks man. I just thought, you know, since this is supposed to be a game of complete teamwork to decimate opponents, thought people who bought it would own mics. We need to pitch this idea to dice.

Put the ACOG scope on the MK11 MOD 0 initial sniper rifle and use it as a semi auto assault rifle....still takes getting used to, but better than carrying it around with the sniper scope.

I've really tried to get into the MP, but I just can't do it. It's just not that fun to me. Nothing wrong with the game, just a lot of inaction at times, wide open maps w/ few teammates or enemies around (it's also really hard for me to spot guys on this game) etc. I guess I'm not patient enough for it.

Would anyone be interested in buying a very gently used copy? Unfortunately, I used my online pass, but I'd be willing to let it go pretty cheap.
