This won't be popular, but Sly Mo seems to have done very little IMO this eason apart from the big game against SD - and as I type he loses the ball! His route running must be poor because there are more incompletions thrown in his direction than anyone else's, and it's not that he's dropping them, they're just not even close to him....??? Don't get me wrong, I think he'll be great, but just not yet.

Give the kid all the time he can get. Why not? Play all the rookies, get 'em ready for next year.

Agreed.
The late-start he got in training camp hurt him more than we fans want to admit after the 1st S.D. game. Plus he is a rookie, and still trying to adjust to running NFL routes and learning separation from DB's. |

Yup. His route running is just not where it needs to be. He needs to up his concentration level and moves in the offseason. Missing camp definitely did not help. He hasn't been very consistent...

I "watched" the Buffalo game on the internet, and I couldn't believe how many times it said "pass incomplete to Morris". It was the same last week with Moon too, and at other times.

Morris and Elvis are not on the same page. I couldn't count how many times grbac threw his way and the Cat didn't even turn his head. He's making a lot of rookie mistakes, but give him a full training camp with a real coaching staff (hopefully) and he'll grow into a fine WR.

We don't bother to use him like we said we were going to either. I thought we wanted to use his height and leaping ability to create mismatches. Gunther went on and on about this at the beginning of the year. We did it against San Diego to an extent. Just don't get why it's so hard to be imaginitive on offense.

Randy Moss wouldn't be nearly as effective, either, if he had to run 10 yard outs and hook patterns all game long.
