Off Season Lets Talk Guns

Been a while since we had a guns n' ammo discussion.

Some of you are AR shooters Im sure. Im looking at a Colt 6920. Will be my first AR. Picked up a Glock this fall and really enjoy shooting it. Any feedback on that weapon?

Anyone else been in a buy/sell/trade mood with hardware?

I hate the fact the glock lacks a safety

Yeah its a personal preference thing. Some people don't like the glock because of this lack of a safety. Some people don't like the 1911 because they are uncomfortable carrying in the cocked and locked condition. All in what one is comfortable with.

After Sandy Hook these things were impossible to find, or if you could find one they cost 400-1000 bucks each.

Another thing to stock up on is Bolt and Carrier groups. Only a couple of factories produce them and they were impossible to find, too.

At the very least, I can sit on the lowers and make some serious money when the next bad thing happens.
The price those lowers were going for during all the hype was insane. Glad I wasn't in the market for anything ar during all of this.

Your thumb in the natural shooting position is right by the safety and sweeps over it when bringing the gun up. With a small amount of practice it's very natural.

Have seen it on the shelves but never used it. Was kinda wondering because I passed up a chance to get some 10mm armscor for relatively cheap while back.

I have shot a lot of it out of my 10mm Glock for piss around ammo and had zero issues with it.

Hey it worked! Oiled the heck out of it and now it gives me some pressure. Not sure if it is giving me all it can, but it put a hole in a plastic jug at about 15 yards. Thanks

So I'm going to get a new gun in the next few months sometime and I think I want something in a 308. Right now I have two guns in mind...a Sig Sauer 716, and a FNH FNAR. I already have a Sig 556, so I have some familiarity there, but I've always liked the look of the FNAR. If I had some real money I'd get a SCAR 17s, but that's out of reach. Any opinions/suggestions?
