I find it hilarious Clay uses PFF rankings as gospel...Alex Smith was the 8th highest rated QB in 2011...and IMO from watching he looked better in 2012 than he ever did in 2011.

Hilarious. Clay I don't remember you ever posting about him being the 8th highest rated player in 2011 from your "bible" when you were trying to obliterate him with stats about a month ago.

You seem to leave really convenient factors out of the equation a lot.

He was 18th in 2012.

And I've already explained: it's easy to rack up a good PFF rating when you avoid tough throws or taking risks.

That sounds pretty good to me, especially when you consider the lowest passing yards/game on offense last year was 185.2 by the Steelers.

If we have 4 DBs that can keep their individual totals at or under 45.625 yards/game (185.2 yards approximately) then we should have one of, if not the top passing defenses in the league....

so he was 18th when he played 8 games on a site that accumulates rankings as you play...meaning he projected to be right where Matt Schaub was (or 12th) had he played all 16 games.

and earlier you said 2011 was a better indicator of the kind of player Sean Smith is (I'm not sure why)...but now 2012 is the year to judge Alex Smith (even though he projected to be about the same as 2011)...
