Who is making an excuse for Pioli. I am not defending him, just saying I didn't mind the original Haley signing. The "try them out" wasn't referring to Haley I just worded it wrong. People sign players all the time to see what they have. Its not like Cassel replaced a great QB his first year. You yourself have even said when Matt first got here you had some hope.
