Alex Smith Traded to Chiefs

Well, it looks like the deal is done.

https://twitter.com/intent/user?scre...w_p=tweetembed

Jay Glazer @JayGlazer
49ers have completed a trade with the Chiefs for Alex Smith, tho can't be official til March 12. Chiefs really made a commitment to Smith

Jay Glazer @JayGlazer
Deal has been agreed upon between Chiefs and 49ers. Compensation unclear but I'm told again Chiefs have made a clear commitment to Smith.

I think you misread my statement. I said I was fed up with "not sucking" - not that I was "not wanting to suck." Not sucking = investing in resources that ensure the team is good to be around the playoff/wildcard picture (and maybe even a division champ when the schedule breaks right).

I'm fed up with being happy averaging a 10.5-5.5 record and making the wildcard round.

I'll never agree respectability was a worthy goal with the new regime. Tear it down and start trying to build it back up in a way that can win the Super Bowl from Day 1, rather than just getting around to it Year 5.

All Alex Smith really did was waste four more years of Chiefs fans' time.
So, what would you have done differently? Only guy I can think of that we outright missed on would be Carr.

Its not like the current regime was unwilling to draft 1st round QBs either. We were pretty strongly linked to both Manziel and Lynch if I'm remembering things correctly.

It's glorious.

And I'm with Duncan. Don't any of you ****ers DARE come walking up to my grille and expect some lame-assed "Smith gratitude", because you aren't getting it.
**** Smith, **** you if you support Smith, and don't let the door hit you in your Smithian ass.

It's a blemish on Andy for sticking with this turd for as long as he did, but at least he has redeemed himself. Those of you who were here before the Alexsexuals showed up would do well to follow Andy's example.

I'm not pushing the throwing of Mahomes in to the fire as I understand full well what his development means to the overall outcome that we are expecting. That said, the kid can't start soon enough. The sooner the stink of recycled QB garbages and their garbagey transplant fans are purged with fire, the better.

He'll be on the PMII bandwagon soon enough, it's a new landscape True Fans will adapt when Mahomes plays as a 1st stringer

Threedouchebags = PWND.

I'm so happy that Pawn is back and that all of Chiefs Nation will finally get to enjoy the fruits of legitimate Quarterbacking.

Good times!

We have a lot of posters on here who want to bench or cut Alex Smith. I'd say around 95% of these posters are the same posters who also wanted the Chiefs to draft Geno Smith with the #1 pick in 2013.

Yeah, these are the guys I am going to listen to when they give their expert opinions on Alex Smith. Lol!

You can plug your ears and 'not listen' to 'opinion' about Smith....but everything that has been said about him (by those who knew him as a QB) since the day we got him has basically come true.....

Game manager...decent QB but not good enough to go deep in playoffs...

You plugging your ears with tampons won't change those simple facts...

LOL!

I'd say around 95% of these posters are the same posters who also wanted the Chiefs to draft Geno Smith with the #1 pick in 2013. These posters also wanted the Chiefs to draft Carr, and made it plainly known that he would be a better pick than Geno. The point is; these posters wanted the Chiefs to draft a 1st round QB.
And you know what happened? The Chiefs went and drafted a 1st round QB, moving up multiple slots to do so!
Apparently, the Chiefs tend to agree with "these posters", so yeah, these are the guys I am going to listen to when they give their expert opinions on Alex Smith.
Why? I wish to grow as a fan and NOT be a dumbass.
Good for you, PA! Glad you finally saw the light.

The Trufus Dawes Tard Brigade have nothing left to cling to, so they are content to devise pitiful fabrications in order to make themselves seem relevant when the truth is that the Chiefs have left them behind and have CLEARLY jumped on board the QB1 Death Cult Express.

Final Score?

ANd I was not a Geno SMith fanboi by the way...so your statistics are shit...and you are a dishonest person.
