I figured I would start a thread for this and see what happens....there seemed to be quite a few viewers on the board for this show the past few weeks.....I like the direction the show is taking so far......episode 3 tonight at 7 central on ABC....

Really? Wow, I don't know how I missed that...I did miss the first couple minites of the show, so maybe that's how.....I'll have to go back and watch that again.....

I think the statue could be osiris (sp?)

That was a crazy episode i guess they are there in 1977. But my question when does ben trick all of the project members and has them gassed? the war is coming still stumps me who is in this war?

I read an interesting Theory today.

Remember back in the day when the Others were discussing how Ben thinks Juliet is his because she looks the same as "her"?

Well Ben is about to show up on the island, or already is there and now that Juliet is part of the DHARMA initiative, Kid Ben is going to see her, and thats how hes going to get his infatuation w/ Juliet.

The idea of all of them in 1977 fascinates me.

I'm not sure what the statue is, but that fascinates me too. I would say Osiris, because it looks like it's holding a crook and flail, but it doesn't appear to have an atef on its head.

one thing, what year was it when they saw the statue? if it was 1974 or 1977 what heppened to it?

Good question.

The more I think about it, the more I doubt it's an egyptian statue, although we have seen hieroglyphs on the island. It just seems too obvious. I wonder if it's going to end up being sumerian or babylonian or something else.

Along that vein, I think Atlantis would be too easy (although what we've seen of the island wouldn't seem to fit geographical descriptions of it). Wonder if it's Lemuria or Mu.

When they saw the statue i would think it was before 1954. They had just been in 1954 when the flash went off then the statue was all of the sudden there. Then it flashed again and they were in 1974.
