A lot I still don't like about Alex Smith.

I will say this, though:

1. He can make things happen on his feet, which is invaluable. He reminds me of Ol' Thiggy that way.

2. He doesn't freak out when he's under pressure. So refreshing after years of Matt "Collapses to the ground every time he remembers there are people on the field who want to tackle him" CAssel.

So Alex smith threw for almost 60% of his passes, threw 2 TDs, had no INTs, and ran for 57 yards...all this with a crappy performance from the offensive line.

You're right, and to be fair to Alex it makes it hard to get things going when the running game and Oline are struggling early. However, I'm still hoping the offense can get things together and sustain some more drives because we've been leaning very heavily on the defense through these first two games.

dreadful OL and the playcalling was rough... Alex needs to play better at times... but he did pretty well, all things considered.
