I use a T-Mobile prepaid service and have no problems with it.

I use Cingular.
As long as I put $25 on it every three months, they carry over the balance and I have a cell phone that can be used for vacation, occasional business travel, and evenings when we leave our kids with a baby sitter. $100 per year for a cell phone isn't a bad deal, imo. We also have an unlimited long distance plan on our home phone and use a DSL bundle through our same long distance carrier for our internet. --Infidel Goat |

Where I live we have Cricket $29.95\mnth which is unlimited calling but it doesnt roam. Covers about 40 square miles which is 99% of my phone use. I then bought prepaid VeriFone from Walmart which if you buy a year card averages $7.50 per month for a roaming phone. Minutes can be pricy but its still a lot cheaper in the long run for my uses and is great for an emergency type phone. I went from $90 plus per month to less than $40.
