Bob Costas is an excellent sports broadcaster and reporter, but he's a sanctimonious prick who should keep his politics to himself when he's doing sports broadcasts.

Huh? When and how exactly did they try to do that? Personally, I am not a fan of the chop as it isn't very loud nor is it truly intimidating. Whoever runs it always does it at the wrong times too. It killed the fans screaming at least two times yesterday.

Yeah they might stop enabling the Tomahawk Chop, but the fans will keep doing it just like they did on the way out of the stadium. The Chop is for the fans, they don't need a song to get it done.

I'm a mutt. Got a little of everything in me including some Native American and some Native South American but mostly Native European... I won't try to quantify the amounts for you. I'm also 100% not liberal. I'm not personally offended but I acknowledge that it is a slur. I don't care if they change it or not. If they do, fine. If not, it doesn't personally affect me. I'm not going to scalp anybody over the deal.

I'm confused as to why so many white people give a shit if it is changed. You say it doesn't matter and shouldn't be changed for that reason, but following that logic, changing it is just as valid an argument, if not a better one.

If I were the owner of the Redskins I'd have been upset that Costas used his forum against my team that's about to take the field on national broadcast. It was a real shit ass thing to do.
