Question about St. Louis

Watching the Final Four, how much does the Edward Jones Dome seat? It must not be big enough to host a Super Bowl or St. Louis would have bid on that. If that is the case, I wonder why they didn't make it big enough where they could host a Super Bowl?

Might be a thing to do with hotel rooms. The other big thing would have to be traffic. Trying to go downtown near the riverfront in STL on a busy day is not fun, I can't imagine a Super Bowl... maybe that really has nothing to do with it, but even if I lived there I don't think I'd even want to attempt it because of traffic.

That stadium is horrific. Went there for a preseason game a couple of years ago, and didn't know until the next day that neither Bulger nor Faulk played. You couldn't see shit, and the upper deck was cloaked in darkness.

Because Tagliabue is still pissed at us for stealing the Rams from LA.

Well thats some of it, but the main thing IMO, is NO Parking! There is nowhere down there to tailgate and hang out. YOu have to park blocks away in some lot with jacked up prices and then walk 15-20 minutes to get to the stadium.

I don't really think they give a crap about tailgating at the Super Bowl, I could be wrong...

No, they were just hosting a playoff game.

And yes, downtown St. Louis sucks for driving and parking during sporting events. Takes forever to get in and out. Not quite as bad as Wrigleyville, but pretty damned close.

Having seen a football game at the Metrodome I'm not sure how that could be.

Dome football sucks. I thought I was at a Comets game.
