Oh yeah no doubt about that Charles should make this list. Can't see anybody else on the team to make beside him.

I think he's gonna be a tough sign.
Iirc he was the last guy from 2011 to sign a contract...so I bet he will want the moon and we better give it to him. |

Well Houston contract not up yet and really he has not said nothing. We can always let him play his contract out and then Tag him also.

this is a similar spot with Brandon Albert. had they locked him up a year ago or midseason, they would have got him on good money that isnt the bullshit prices they have to deal with now. |

Re-signing Houston is a must. You don't let good pass rushers walk.

This isn't Madden. Houston (a guy who wouldn't sign his slotted rookie contract until everyone else already did) isn't gonna sign a deal this year for less than he can get as a free agent next year (if we don't tag him, which we probably will)
Why would he? |

I can stomach letting Albert walk, but Justin Houston needs to stay in KC if this team truly gives a shit about winning a championship in the next 8 years.

He's not agreeing to a deal during this season unless he has the stupidest agent in the league.

If you consider Charles a top 3 RB, he should be paid like one, 10+ million plus like AP and CJ. And we got him on ****ing chump change. Same with DJ before he started making pro bowls and really peaked. Same with Flowers, 7 million for a #1 lockdown CB. Good luck finding that anywhere else. Its about getting him contract security before he really breaks out, becomes top 3 at his position and you have to pay out the ass. This happens all the time in the NFL, guys getting locked up mid season. |
