You're Herm Edwards...

what do you do in the next five days to prepare for the Broncos?

I would make several personnel changes:
* Svitek in at RT, Black out
* Page and Pollard in, Wesley and Knight out
* Webb in as 3rd receiver, Hall on returns only

I would also talk to Solari about some philosophy changes:
* Screens
* Slants
* Two TE sets
* Get Huard out of the pocket
* LJ and Gonzalez get the ball whenever possible

Play to win, and win to play, even if it means chasing the chicken 'round grandpa's farm till the cows come home. That's what the NFL's all about.

he has to be unpredictable and a little more innovative with the offense right off the bat..and dont put huard in obvious passing situations.throw more on 1st and second down..more play action on first down.it will have to be a total team effort to come out on top next sunday..JMO

Watch the tape of the Rams/Donkeys game because the Rams absolutely stuffed the bootleg everytime the Donkeys tried it.

Unlike the REAL Herm Edwards, the first thing I DON'T DO is give them both Monday AND Tuesday off this week.

Offense
1. More two TE sets with Dunn helping Sampson, Black, Svitek, tackling dummy they have in the game.
2. More screens.
3. 3 step drops.
4. Huard is going to learn how to protect the football over the next 48 hours.
5. Run the ball and kill the clock.

On Defense:
1. Work on bootleg protection.
2. Come up with a strategy for the no huddle offense.
3. The D is going to have to play a little riskier and go for turnovers. The D is going to need to score or set the offense up in field goal range.

Q: Herm, back on December 25th you were asked if Trent Green was your starter going into next season and you said, ‘yeah, why wouldn’t he be?’ Have you changed your mind on that?

EDWARDS: No, I have not.”

I don't think he gave them yesterday off.

Kawiaka was on the radio yesterday morning and he said they had to lift weights and then watch film and have team meetings.

If they are still able to burn us on the bootleg, then this team is very lacking in the coaching dept and everyone should be on the hotseat.

Start Ryan Sims at right tackle. He's made many of RT's in this league look like probowlers, why not give him a shot at it. A very big body, and at least he'll get in the way to allow Huard more time than Black ever will.

The only real advantage we have at this point is that the Donx have no idea how to plan against our offense with Trent being out and Huard being in.

Try and use that to score early and let the defense do it's job. That would mean putting the ball in Huard's Hands but they'll be so ready for the run it just might work.

8 For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, 9 not a result of works, so that no one may boast. 10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.
