Christ, ppl are acting like Cassel had to have an emergency tracheotomy. If Cassel had walked off with a broken pinky, would everyone be so appalled by the fans cheering? The fans were happy he was leaving the game, the truth hurts.

What if he was carried out on a stretcher after the fans were cheering him being hurt? Hypotheticals work both ways.

Yeah, who knew?

Guys who paid $50 to have a banner flown to have him removed as QB, yet are rational enough to understand that cheering one of your own players' injuries is terrible form.

And things like that get noticed across the league, by other players, potential FAs, etc.

Yes, blame the fans. Not the egotistical GM that REFUSES to admit his own mistake. This team is 1-4 and has lost the last 7 of 8 games at the supposed "toughest place to play." This team starts a supposed QB that it only trusted enough to attempt FOUR ****ing passes in a single half. Yes, blame the fans. The evil evil fans. The same fans that live in Jackson County. The same fans that the Hunts have been taking advantage of for the last 40 years. The fans are clearly to blame.

Two of the best players on the field, Charles and Ngata, both called out the fans. I'm sorry that you don't think things like that matter to players.

Of course it is Pioli's fault that Cassel was even playing. THAT'S WHY I DONATED $50 FOR THE BANNER. I want him removed.

That doesn't change the fact that acting like idiots and cheering when your QB is injured is poor form and players notice that.

I really don't care. As long as he never plays another down for the Chiefs, that is all that matters.

How many life/career threatening injuries do we see while a player is still moving on the ground and leaves on his own? Watching the play, I knew it couldn't be THAT serious. It wasn't even a "dirty" headshot.

And while you were there and can judge when the cheers occurred better, I wonder if the initial cheers weren't still part of the positive yards we gained that play.

When I saw him down, my first post was "yesss!" not b/c he was hurt but b/c I knew he would get out of the game. We ran the ball to perfection which is supposed to open the passing game except Cassel can't pass, and the org refused to replace him.

We don't love this game b/c we get to see people get hurt, but we also aren't respectful apologists for what is a laughable "professional" organization.

A high school player died just a couple of days ago after making a hit, being injured on the field, walking off the field and collapsing on the sideline. We don't know what is going in players body so for us to watch and claim that a hit wasn't that hard or a player didn't look 'that hurt' is really irresponsible. It was a heart issue that killed the SC player but other times it's been a severe concussion.

Your histrionics are almost as irritating as Cassel's ineptitude.

Putting aside the whole "cheering for Cassel to get hurt thing," this team's psyche is way too fragile and the head coach is way too accepting of "good" losses.

They have to bench Cassel. He has regressed every week and is now causing the coaches to play not to lose, even when the other team has more points.

And that has exactly DICK to do with what happened today. Unless the kid died from cheering from the crowd when he got up and walked off the field.
