Oh my, one of my ex GFs along time ago had parents that were really into this shit. Phone Cards, Car Cleaner crap, anything pyramid. The worst thing they were trying to hack were these Super Blue Green Algae Pills and they had these nasty things called BG Bites or something. Also out of college these people tried to get me to sell life insurance as part of a Pyramid Sceme, making it seem like a legitimate job at first. Going through my resume, bringing me in for an interview. Once I got to the interview I knew it was a BS Scam about 3 minutes into the thing. What shit.

Some of them like the body wraps are borderline scam, because the product doesn't really do what they imply it does. Mostly though I think MLMs sell overpriced crap you could get elsewhere if you wanted it like herbalife.

I get hit with that crap all of the time....
I know several people that sell different things off and on and assumed they all take a bath in the end. I do have a friend that I said that to who told me she makes $6k/month marketing some form of it...don't be fat food and jumping jacks videos....but mostly recruits people who sell it instead of selling it. |

It's a scam if:
1) You have to pay for the merchandise and/or a start up fee. 2) If the profitability of it comes not from selling the merchandise, but from recruiting others to sell below you. So basically the majority of MLM crap. |

One time, with a different person, we were invited to dinner by someone we had known for a short time. Cool, new friends. Nope, they wanted us to sell Amway. Shitty deal. |
