KSU vs Alabama for Natl Champion - Who wins?

After watching KSU last night and granted it was against an overrated sports media hyped WVU team that has a Def ranked 115, however Geno is not overrated, he just can't do it all. KSU's game all around was just phenomenal and especially their D that I believe is just as good as Alabama.

Who wins this potential Natl Championship game?

K-State doesn't control it's own destiny in making it to the NC game. I'm not sure why K-State fans think that.

Oregon, Florida, and Bama all control their own destiny. K-State does not. As already pointed out, this isn't really even an argument. If Oregon wins out they will get in. A 1 loss Florida or Bama team will also get in over an undefeated K-State team by virtue of the fact that they play in the SEC. Fact.

So K-State needs help to even get in the NC game.

Especially because that loss likely occurs in the SEC title game. And because of all the power teams in the SEC, Alabama has the easiest schedule and is no more difficult than what KSU would have played. BCS teams typically get rewarded for going undefeated.

Kstate has a puncher's chance... but they need to win out and I'm not sure they have the horses, definitely not the prestige, to get there... Bama, Florida, ND (although I see them losing two late games), Oregon...even LSU...are going be up there.

That's the way the BCS in conjunction with the polls work. It's why playoffs are being enacted, or at least the beginning of a playoff system.

It was pretty funny listening to the first ten minutes of between the lines today. Both Kietzman and his first caller. Who was like "man, Oregon wishes they were K-State!" And then he goes off on this rant about how Snyder isn't really playing old-school football, he's actually innovating! by being conservative while everybody else is playing the spread.

I can't even imagine how much KSU talk must be going on with him right now.

Let the butthurt of the SEC Old Guard commence when no $EC team is playing in the BCS Championship. Meltdown would be epic.
I would put some money in for a banner on that one.

Let's just say I wasn't surprised at all that he opened the program with K-State rather than Quinn starting. Whereas 610 was Chiefs first then k-state.

This can't really be considered a question coming from a homer because I love both teams. Can you really blame him? Which is the bigger story right now?

Of all people, we K-State fans should know this, as the Wildcats got royally screwed at bowl selection one year by a 6 win Notre Dame team.

But K-State should get a lot more respect this year, after beating Oklahoma on the road, and thrashing WV on the road. Both of those teams were rated very highly , prior to the losses.
For K-State to do to WV after the TTech loss, speaks highly of Bill Snyders team.

Also, I heard one of the announcers compare Bill Snyder to John Wooden! Now that is some respect, much more than they have ever received.

For me, it's definitely the Chiefs. For people who were born here, maybe, or who went there, then k-state.
